DIY Lisa Frank Inspired Manicure

With summer on the horizon, warm weather moving through the prairies, and sunlight extending into the evening, I am more eager than ever to be incorporating bright pops of color into my everyday outfits. As someone who works an 8-4 office job, I don't always get to wear the funky garments I may want to, but I use my nails to show off the - often bold - colors that I'm loving!

While I'm a lover of bare nails, I find polished tips pull together any look, making you look well- more polished! Due to COVID-19, I haven't gotten my nails done in a VERY long time, but that hasn't stopped me from pampering myself with at home Manicure's. My current obsession are Nail Stickers/Decals! They're the perfect (and low effort) touch to bring your nails to the next level. Brands such as Ciaté London and small businesses on Etsy offer different colors, sizes and styles!

My most recent stickered nails were inspired by the vibrant and lively artwork of Lisa Frank. Starting with a clear base coat, I then used a white Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen to trace a French tip. Once dried, I grabbed a pair of tweezers and began to peel and stick the nail decals where I saw fit. I finished off by placing glittery polish around the decals and topped with a clear coat. LUSH Fresh Cosmetics produces a cuticle butter called Lemony Flutter, which is my go-to for my hands in the dry winter, and it is a staple for my post-mani hands too! Massaging the thick, creamy, lemon scented butter into the creases of my cuticles, I take a proud look at my final product. What do you think of my classic French tip with a twist?

See below for links to get nail decals of your own! Show off your new nail art and let me know if you enjoyed using nail stickers ♡

Stay safe, stay kind
